Global News Analysis

Editorial policy

Global News Analysis aims to make international news easier to assess without making it seem simpler than it is. Our editorial choices favour clear attribution, proportionate claims and visible limits.

Accuracy and attribution

We check names, dates, quotations and factual claims against suitable source material before publication. Claims are attributed so readers can tell who is making them. We distinguish documented information, interpretation and unresolved questions, and avoid presenting a single account as the whole picture when relevant disagreement remains.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for their relevance and value to readers. Commercial relationships do not determine our conclusions, framing or coverage. We do not imply access to confidential information or research that has not been carried out.

Corrections

If a material error is identified, we review it and correct the published text where warranted. We aim to make substantive corrections clear to readers rather than quietly preserving a misleading account. Readers can send a correction through the Contact page, identifying the article and the point in question.

Partner material

Paid, sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from editorial work. Partners do not receive control over editorial conclusions, and we do not present promotional claims as independent reporting.
