Write for us

Global News Analysis welcomes considered pitches that help general readers understand how international news is framed, sourced and connected. Proposals are sent through the Contact page.

What we welcome

We are interested in original essays and explainers about news framing, source evaluation, international context, cross-border connections and responsible ways to describe uncertainty. Strong ideas make a distinct point and give readers a method or perspective they can use again.

What makes a good pitch

Tell us the central question, the main argument, why it matters to a general reader and how the piece will support its claims. Name the kinds of sources or public material you expect to use, flag important limits, and explain what makes the proposal different from a broad overview.

Sending a proposal

Send your pitch through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short outline and relevant writing samples if available. Please do not send confidential material or assume that a proposal has been accepted until the editorial team replies.
